Cenotes are holes in the ground where an underground river flows. These sinkholes are formed over a long distance. All of them are different, but all of them are united by fresh and crystal clear water.

All cenotes are paid to visit, as a rule it is 15-30 US dollars per person, depends on the cenote and the price set by the administration.

We visited 4 cenotes, different in picturesqueness, but you can choose one and just spend time there.

What not to do when visiting the cenotes

1.  Use sunscreen to avoid polluting the river.
   
2.  It is worth using a life jacket (they give it there), because the river is deep and in some places the depth reaches 6-8 meters, but due to the clear water you can see everything.

Natural parks often form around the cenotes, turtles come or swim to you, you see iguanas running around.
