Vacation in Mexico, beach vacation
01.08.2024Choosing a beach in the protected area of Tulum – sharing our experiences
I visited 4 beaches in the protected area and I liked Paraiso beach the most. Here I got free parking, excellent sunbeds and a restaurant. The price for sunbeds is quite adequate.
Maya Beach
The first day I parked my car at Maya Beach, I was offered not to pay for parking by paying for a boat ride. Somehow I didn’t want to ride on the first day, but wanted to look around. So I walked 4 beaches.
We decided to use sun beds and umbrellas, because we arrived at 11-00, paid, it makes sense to spend the whole day until the evening. Maya Beach surprised me a bit with the price, when I was offered 800 pesos (50 dollars) per person for a sunbed. At the bar you could order a drink and sit all day at a table under an umbrella, but it’s still not a sunbed((( So we decided to walk further and that’s how we came across Paraiso beach.
Paraiso beach
Paraiso is a great choice, because for 500 pesos you get a large sunbed for 2 seats, an umbrella and a table for 3-6 seats. All the seats are under palm trees, there is a great toilet and shower on site, there is also a volleyball court and hammocks and swings which the kids really enjoyed.
A great bonus of Paraiso is free car parking if you order anything from their restaurant. Spending all day at the beach you will order something, 100% sure. Prices are more expensive than in town, but “where do you go from a submarine”.
There is good Wi-Fi on the beach. The beach is open until 17-30.
