28.08.2024Rules of the road, dangers in driving
I got the impression that the rules of the road are not international after all)))
Of course we drove carefully, but not without signals or incomprehensible looks from the locals.
Who has the “main”?
I kept trying to figure out who was in the lead and used the rule “obstacle on the right” at unregulated intersections, but apparently I did it in vain.
It’s completely normal to be speeding down a street where all the intersections are unregulated. Why they give way to you or should give way to you, I do not understand, but the locals just fly by, and I stopped at every intersection, which caused their surprise. Apparently it’s been that way since Mayan times))))
Sometimes I met at intersections sign “give way”, it is by it I understood that I have the main, since the other traffic participant at the intersection is obliged to give way.
“Brick” or no passing
There is no such sign at all, so it is easy to drive against traffic. Personally, it bypassed me, I very carefully looked at the sign “turn is forbidden”, though once almost missed it. My friends were less lucky, they are Germans, so they drove against the traffic a couple of times even in front of the police)). Nothing happened, everyone is alive, no fines)).
Stopping is forbidden
Sign with crossed out letter “E”.
Use of seat belts
I have not found an answer to this question, I always drove with a seatbelt on, but as far as I understand the police do not care and you can drive even a company of 10 people in a passenger 5-seater car.
